INDIANAPOLIS, IN - A driver who was allegedly intoxicated at the time of a fatal accident in Indianapolis has been arrested, police said.
WTHR reports the crash happened early Monday morning at the intersection of Ameriplex Parkway and Exploration Drive on the city's southwest side at about 1:15 a.m.
Court documents stated that a man told police he attempted to brake for a yellow light at Exploration Drive when his car slid and collided with another vehicle. The other driver, 44-year-old Quanaee Allen Daniels, was killed in the wreck. The first driver, a 28-year-old Indianapolis man, was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing death.
The man was reported to have had a blood alcohol level above the Indiana legal limit at the time of the crash.
