Crash disrupts rush-hour traffic on I-70 west in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - An accident was disrupting traffic for drivers in Indianapolis during Thursday morning's rush hour, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.

INDOT Traffic Wise posted an alert shortly after 8 a.m. about the accident that occurred on Interstate 70 westbound at mile marker 79. The right lane of the interstate was blocked between White River Parkway W Drive and River Avenue.

Motorists were advised that the closure would continue for about an hour and a half while emergency crews responded to the scene.
