SANTA FE, NM - One driver was killed and another injured when their vehicles collided on Friday afternoon, the Santa Fe Police Department said.
Officers were dispatched to the crash involving two vehicles at the intersection of Airport Road and Calle Po Ae Pi shortly after noon.
One driver was trapped in his vehicle. He was extricated by first responders and pronounced dead at an area hospital. The man was identfied as 77-year-old Robert Morehead of Santa Fe. The other driver, a 24-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Santa Fe police are continuing their investigation into the cause of the wreck.
