Collision involving IndyGo bus and vehicle leaves 5 injured

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Police in Indianapolis were called to the scene of an accident involving an IndyGo bus on Tuesday afternoon.

A report by WXIN states that the bus collided with a vehicle at the intersection of West Walnut Street and North Capitol Avenue shortly after 1 p.m.

Five people were injured and taken to area hospitals.  There was no immediate word on the extent of their injuries.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
