GALLUP, NM - An accident involving a commercial motor vehicle was impacting traffic in Gallup on Thursday morning, authorities said.
According to a press release from the Gallup Police Department, the crash occurred on Interstate 40 westbound near mile marker 29 at about 7 a.m.
New Mexico State Police were redirecting traffic off I-40 onto Highway 66 at Exit 26. Drivers were advised to seek alternate routes to avoid the area. Gallup police said State Police will be conducting an investigation into the accident.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
