ALBUQUERQUE, NM - A pedestrian was critically injured in an accident in Albuquerque early Wednesday morning, police said.
According to KRQE, officers responded to the vicinity of Quail Road and Bright Star Drive shortly before 1 a.m. A witness told police a pedestrian was struck by a black sedan traveling south of Bright Star Drive. The victim was listed in critical condition after being transported to University of New Mexico Hospital.
The witness said the driver of the vehicle involved fled the scene after the collision without stopping to help. The Albuquerque Police Deparment Motor Unit is continuing to investigate the incident.
