INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Indianapolis police officers responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident on the city's southeast side Tuesday afternoon, according to WTHR.
Investigators said a child was crossing Hanna Avenue in the 4000 block of South Rural Street and was hit by a vehicle headed westbound. The child, whose age and gender were not released, was taken to the hospital and was listed in serious but stable condition.
The driver involved remained on the scene and was reported to be cooperating with the investigation, which is ongoing.
