SPEEDWAY, IN - Emergency crews were called to the scene of a fiery crash in Speedway early Tuesday morning, reports WXIN.
Police said a driver crashed into a utility pole at about 4:10 a.m. in the area of Polco Street and West 16th Street near the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The vehicle burst into flames after the collision.
No injuries were reported but the car had extensive damage. Firefighters were delayed in extinguishing the fire because there were power lines involved.
Investigators are looking into the cause of the crash.
