ELKHART COUNTY, IN - A 14-year-old boy was killed when his dirt bike was involved in a collision in Elkhart County early Saturday morning, according to WNDU.
Witnesses told the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office that the teen was riding a 2023 Honda XR150LE bike south on County Road 35 shortly after 4:45 a.m. when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with State Road 120.
The bike crashed into a double-deck car hauler being pulled by a westbound semi-tractor. The boy, a Goshen resident who was an incoming freshman at an area high school, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
