INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Police in Indianapolis are investigating a hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of a bicyclist over the weekend, WRTV reports.
A man was riding a bicycle eastbound in the area of East 34th Street and Leland Avenue on the city's east side Saturday night when he was struck by a vehicle headed east at about 11:30 p.m. Investigators said the vehicle left the scene after the collision.
The bicyclist, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital.
Police are gathering information regarding the vehicle in efforts to release a description. Anyone with information regarding the incident was asked to call Crime Stoppers.
