ALBUQUERQUE, NM - A bicycle rider died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Southeast Albuquerque, reports the Albuquerque Journal.
The incident happened in the vicinity of Kathryn Avenue SE and Carlisle Boulevard SE on Sunday afternoon. Police officers arrived just after 4 p.m. and learned from witnesses that the bicyclist had been hit by a truck whose driver fled the area,
The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The collision is under investigation by the Albuquerque Police Department's Motors Unit.
