Accident shuts down stretch of westbound I-74 in Boone County

BOONE COUNTY, IN - The Boone County Sheriff's Office issued a traffic alert Friday morning following a crash on Interstate 74.

The notification at 6:52 a.m. said the incident occurred on I-74 westbound at the 51.5 mile marker at State Road 75, shutting down lane 3 of the interstate. Drivers were advised to use caution when traveling through the area.

WIBC Traffic advised that rerouting traffic could exit at S.R. 75 (Exit 52), travel south to U.S. 136, and travel west through Jamestown. Westbound I-74 can be rejoined in Crawfordsville via U.S. 231.
