SILVER ACRES, NM - The New Mexico Department of Transportaton alerted motorists to a crash affecting traffic in a portion of Grant County on Friday.
In a post on the NMRoads website at 11:49 a.m., the NMDOT said the accident occurred on U.S. 180 at mile marker 114 at Silver Acres. Both the westbound and eastbound lanes of the highway were shut down in the area while authorities responded to the scene.
The notification said that further updates would be issued as more information becomes available.
