INDIANAPOLIS, IN - One person was killed and two others injured in a collision in Indianapolis on Friday morning, police said.
According to WXIN, a car and an SUV crashed at North Irwin Street and E. 21st Street at about 8:30 a.m. Police and emergency crews responded and found that the driver of the SUV had died. The driver of the other vehicle was seriously injured while a child in one of the vehicles sustained minor injuries. Both were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash. Drivers were advised to avoid the area for several hours as traffic was blocked for the investigation
