Accident blocks eastbound Smith Valley Road in Greenwood

GREENWOOD, IN - Greenwood police and firefighters were called to the scene of a vehicle crash on Smith Valley Road on Thursday afternoon.

In a post on X at 3:51 p.m., the Greenwood Fire Department said the accident occurred at Meridian Street east of the roundabout. Eastbound Smith Valley Road was blocked at the intersection while crews responded, and drivers were advised to seek alternate routes.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
