SOUTH BEND, IN - Authorities are investigating a crash on the southeast side of South Bend last week that left three people hospitalized.
WNDU reports the incident involving an SUV and a sedan happened Wednesday in the area of Ewing Avenue and Marine Street at about 3 p.m.
Two people in the SUV, including a young child, were seriously injured. The sedan driver sustained multiple injures. All three were taken to area hospitals. None of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.
The driver of the sedan was taken into custody after police determined that impairment was likely a contributing factor in the accident.
