3 injured in crash at intersection on east side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Police said a collision on the east side of Indianapolis on Wednesday afternoon left three people injured, WTTV reports.

It happened at about 1:45 p.m., when two SUVs crashed at the intersection of North Post Road and Carla Drive. A woman driving one of the vehicles was hospitalized in critical condition. The man driving the other SUV and a man who was his passenger were both in stable condition.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the cause of the wreck, and said that so far intoxication does not appear to have been a contributing factor.
