ELKHART COUNTY, IN - Three people were injured when a vehicle collided with a horse and buggy in Elkhart County on Sunday morning, reports WBND.
Police said the driver of a 2018 Hyundai Accent was headed west on County Road 4 near State Road 13 when the accident occurred at about 8:20 a.m. The driver entered the eastbound lane to pass two horses and buggies on the road when the second horse and buggy turned south to pull into an address.
As the Hyundai driver swerved back into the westbound lane, the car struck the buggy from behind.
Three people in the buggy were taken to Elkhart General Hospital to be treated for abrasions.
