ELKHART COUNTY, IN - Authorities in Elkhart County are investigating a pickup truck accident that left two men dead, WNDU reports.
The victims were identified as 30-year-old Theo Bean of Elkhart and 39-year-old Tireno Washington of Bristol, who had been missing Sunday morning. Their bodies were discovered at 3:45 Wednesday afternoon after their Dodge Ram pickup crashed into the St. Joseph River outside of Elkhart.
The incident occurred in the area of State Road 120 just west of County Road 19. Investigators believe the driver was going east on State Road 120 when the pickup went off the roadway, down a ditch and into the river. It was not yet clear exactly when the accident occurred.
