2 injured when van crashes into gas station in Lawrence

LAWRENCE, IN - An accident at a gas station in Lawrence Tuesday morning left two people injured, WTHR reports.

Police said the driver of a van slammed into a Speedway gas station in the area of Pendleton Pike and North Mitthoefer Road at about 9:45 a.m.

Two injured victims were transported to the hospital, though it was not immediately clear whether they were inside the vehicle or the gas station. Their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

Investigators believe the driver had a medical emergency that contributed to the crash.
