2 drivers injured in collision on northwest side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - A two-car collision in Indianapolis Sunday night sent both drivers to the hospital, police said.

A report by WXIN states that the accident occurred in the vicinity of Lafayette Road and West 30th Street on the city's near northwest side. A police investigation indicated that a man was driving while intoxicated shortly before 10:30 p.m. when he collided with the other vehicle.

The man and the other driver, a woman, were seriously injured and hospitalized. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is continuing to investigate the crash.
