ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, IN - Two drivers were injured when their pickup trucks collided outside of New Carlisle on Monday afternoon, WNDU reports.
The crash took place at the intersection of US-20 and Walnut Road at about 12:10 p.m. An initial investigation indicated that the driver of one pickup, pulling a trailer, was going east on US-20 and crashed into the other vehicle which was making a left turn from northbound Walnut Road onto US-20.
Both drivers were transported to the hospital. The driver of the pickup pulling the trailer was not seriously injured, but no information was available on the condition of the other driver.
US-20 was closed between Walnut Road and Spruce Road for the accident investigation, which is being conducted by the St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team.
