FLORENCE TOWNSHIP, MI - Michigan State Police said a speeding driver was involved in a collision in St. Joseph County that left two people dead on Sunday morning.
According to Fox17 Online, the incident began when the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Office tried to pull over a 22-year-old man for speeding. As that driver sped down Sevison Road in Florence Township he lost control of the vehicle, crossed over the center line, and crashed into an SUV.
Two people in the SUV were pronounced dead at the scene, a man and a woman from Constantine.
The first driver was not seriously injured, and now could face charges including reckless driving causing death and operating with a suspended license.
