INDIANAPOLIS, IN - A collision in Indianapolis involving a semi-truck and a pickup truck left both drivers critically injured, according to WXIN.
Police responded to the scene in the 5200 block of Kentucky Avenue near Decatur Central High School on the city's southwest side shortly before 8 am. Witnesses told police the driver of the semi went through a red light and collided with the pickup, which had the green light.
The pickup truck driver, a teacher at the high school, and the driver of the semi were taken to area hospitals in critical condition.
Police are continuing to investigate the accident and there have been no charges yet, pending toxicology reports. Extra counseling was made available to students and staff at the high school after the crash.
