RATON, NM - A railroad accident in Colfax County on Saturday morning left one person injured, KRQE reported.
The crash, involving an Amtrak train, happened along the tracks between Raton and Las Vegas, New Mexico at about 11 a.m. Amtrak said Train 3 had departed from the Chicago area on Friday and collided with a vehicle that was obstructing the tracks west of Raton.
One person in the vehicle, a 16-year-old, was reported to have been injured. No details were released on the victim's condition.
There were no injuries to the 116 passengers or crew members on the train, which was delayed due to mechanical issues.
