ELKHART, IN - Police were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle accident in Elkhart on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a WBND report, the crash took place in the vicinity of John Weaver Parkway and Nappanee Street.
An investigation determined that the driver of a silver Chevrolet Cruze was headed south on Nappanee Street at about 3:36 p.m. As he tried to turn right onto John Weaver Parkway, he swerved to avoid a vehicle that was making a left turn onto the same street.
Police said the Cruze went into oncoming traffic and struck a Jeep Compass, causing the Jeep to then push back into a white Chevrolet Cruze.
A 26-year-old woman who was a passenger in the silver Cruze was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
No injuries were reported for the three drivers and a 2-year-old passenger in the silver Cruze.
Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
