1 dead after vehicles collide on west side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Police in Indianapolis said two vehicles were involved in a fatal collision on Saturday night, according to WXIN.

The crash took place on the city's west side, in the area of North Glen Arm Road and West 10th Street. An investigation indicated that two drivers were going west on West 10th Street shortly before 7:30 p.m. when their vehicles made contact with each other, causing one of the vehicles to go off the road and flip.

The driver of the flipped vehicle was ejected, and was pronounced dead at an area hospital. The accident shut down a portion of West 10th Street for over two hours for the police investigation.

It is not believed that alcohol was a contributing factor in the incident.
