ALBUQUERQUE, NM - A pedestrian died following a collision with a motorcycle in southwest Albuquerque on Sunday night, KRQE reports.
Police officers were dispatched to the scene in the area of San Ygnacio Road and 98th Street after the incident occurred at about 8:25 p.m. An investigation determined that a motorcyclist struck a pedestrian who was in the road. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The motorcycist was in critical condition after being taken to an area hospital.
98th Street was closed between Tower Road and Westgate Park Plaza for the investigation by the Albuquerque Police Department's Fatal Crash Team.
